Technical Product Manager

The Technical Product Manager will report to the Vice President of Business Development with U.S. Citizenship strongly desired.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with our scientists and engineers in bringing current proof of concept and advanced technology demonstration prototypes to commercial products

  • Lead specific projects to productize our technologies and meet budgetary and scheduling milestones

  • Help manage the supply chain to ensure successful manufacturing and product support. Manage business and technical aspects of vendor relationships working with key technical/manufacturing partners

  • Identify and work closely with early adopters, program management and the development team to define family of products which balance customer/business needs and technological capabilities

  • Work with the executive team to develop strategic roadmaps, identify and develop markets and investigate the competitive landscape for the assigned product(s)

  • Identify, research and evaluate lead generation opportunities and work with team to promptly respond to RFQs

  • Identify and quantify unmet customer needs create product specifications based on key customer needs

  • Work with Engineering and Sales to successfully launch new product introductions

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, MBA beneficial

  • Strong technical background in Engineering or Science

  • Track record of bringing product from concept to commercialization

  • Proven and demonstrated product management experience successfully developing and managing new product launches of highly engineered capital equipment

  • Skilled at understanding the market: players, trends, technologies, standards, regulations, and economies

  • Develop market segmentations with objectives for targeting each segment based on unique customer needs

  • Development and presentation of product marketing plans and roadmaps to executive team

  • Excellent track record of forming strong relationships with customers and OEM vendor management

  • Experience with large capital equipment (example: medical device, semi-conductor, etc) and/or Homeland Security markets

  • International experience
