Passport Systems, Inc. has received a $1.4 million award from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Domestic Nuclear Detection Office, for Phase III of the Intelligent Radiation Sensor Systems (IRSS) Program.N. Billerica, Mass., April 1, 2011 -- Passport Systems, Inc. has received a $1.4 million award from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO), for Phase III (Integration & Test) of the Intelligent Radiation Sensor Systems (IRSS) Program. The purpose of the award is to build and characterize a prototype wireless network combining commercially available radiation detection devices with the company’s advanced networking, detection, localization and identification algorithms. The system design, developed by Passport over the last 18 months, was approved by DNDO at the end of Phase II. About Passport Systems, Inc.
