Passport Systems, Inc. participated at the first Innovation and Technology Forum organized by the World Customs Organization (WCO)

Billerica, Mass.—November 16 Passport Systems, Inc. participated at the first Innovation and Technology Forum organized by the World Customs Organization (WCO), November 5-6, 2009 in Brussels. Mr. Gustavo Bottan, VP Business Development discussed the potential of Nuclear Resonance Fluorescence (NRF) for use in non-intrusive, non-destructive inspection of cargo containers. Initial results from Passport’s proof-of-concept prototype were presented as they relate to cargo validation and counterfeit detection.

“This forum brought together the international community of customs organizations, supply chain practitioners and technology developers”, said Mr. Bottan. “We were excited to share the results of our Nuclear Resonance Fluorescence (NRF) inspection technology as it was used to determine the composition and identification of materials in cargo and the potential for counterfeit detection and manifest validation.”
