Passport's Technology

Passport’s full capability scanner interrogates cargo with high-energy X-rays and measures transmitted and scattered X-rays as well as any produced high-energy neutrons. The scanner integrates Passport’s proprietary EZ-3D™, PNPF and NRF technologies with conventional high-resolution imaging and intelligent passive radiation detection to automatically clear or detect threat objects. The scanner supports multiple operational configurations, with the capability to be used either as a high throughput primary scanner with integrated alarm resolution, or in secondary mode to resolve suspicious or difficult cargos. The operational logistics are summarized in the figure below.
